Hungry for More: An authentic guide to Vienna
"Hungry for More" is the name of our video format, in which we invite people around the world to discover Vienna's typical culinary delights and with them the Viennese lifestyle. Head chef Lukas Mraz (Mraz & Sohn, two Michelin stars) is regarded as the enfant terrible of the restaurant scene and knows Vienna like the back of his hand. He helps us to discover the most authentic venues in the city.
Episode 1: Street food Vienna-style
The first episode of Hungry for More is dedicated to Vienna’s street food. In Vienna, this of course refers to sausage stands. We accompany Luka Mraz on a tour from the oldest sausage stand in Vienna to the newest to the spiciest (watch out for the chilli challenge!). With him, we encounter local personalities and discover hidden gems of the Viennese street food scene. Lukas Mraz is always good for a surprise as well. To finish, he doesn’t miss the opportunity to interpret Viennese sausages in his own special way.

Episode 2: Beyond Wiener Schnitzel
Episode two of “Hungry for More” is all about what Vienna has to offer by way of fried food other than Wiener Schnitzel. It’s fair to say that the Viennese will fry just about anything and everything. This is certainly the impression that the video “Beyond Wiener Schnitzel” conveys. A fried goulash dish even makes an appearance. Never heard of it? Then try it for yourself! Fried goulash is just one of the many delicious fried offerings to be found in Vienna. Special guest Elif Oskan, one of Zurich’s top chefs, accompanies Luka Mraz in this episode. The look of amazement never leaves her face. We kept count of just how many times she said “Wow”. It was rather a lot!

Episode 3: Vienna's Ultimate Strudel Tour
Famed chef Lukas Mraz is again eager to experiment in the strudel episode. When making apple strudel at the Meierei restaurant in the Stadtpark, he fills a strudel with Armenian cucumber, apple, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, ginger, lime, rum, cinnamon, cardamom, barberries and his iconic Lukas Mraz humor. The episode also sees savory strudels filled with meat, offal and even blood sausage served up. It offers another unusual insight into Viennese cuisine.
