Mercer 2023: Vienna Again the World's Most Livable City!

Until 2019, the international consulting firm Mercer conducted an annual global study to assess the quality of life in major cities. Vienna maintained the number 1 spot for 10 years. After a pause due to the pandemic, Vienna is once again awarded the city with the highest quality of life for expats in 2023.

Vienna scores with its rich history, impressive architecture, and vibrant cultural scene, which enables a high standard of living for its residents.

Special attention was paid to the possibility of a good work-life balance. With numerous opportunities, Vienna enables the perfect balance between work and leisure.

Following Vienna, Zurich and Auckland occupy the second and third places.
