Queens of Vienna

"In Vienna, I can and am allowed to be who I am," confirms the drag queen Metamorkid in one of her statements for the short documentary "Queens of Vienna". Kleinkunstprinzessin (cabaret princess) Grazia Patricia adds: "For me, Vienna is open and full of life." That's why the three artists have chosen Vienna as the focal point of their life and really shake up the Viennese drag scene. Numerous events like the queer revue "Club Couleur" or the "Drag Lab" (an open stage for young, aspiring drag queens) are organized by three queens.

For the 10-minute documentary, which gives a glimpse behind the scenes of their shows and shows the three queens live on stage, they were staged in Vienna's top locations: Schönbrunn Palace, the Belvedere, the Burgtheater, the Gartenbaukino and the Ernst Fuchs Museum are just some of the perfect backdrops for the eccentric performances of cabaret princess Grazia Patricia, Metamorkid, and Ryta Tale.
