Danube Tower Vienna

If you want to take your little ones up high, then visit the Danube Tower in Vienna for a view of the city and its surroundings from the 150 meter-high viewing terrace. The glazed terrace also lets you enjoy the view of Vienna in bad weather.

Europe's highest slide

There are thrills to be had when you slide from a height of 165 meters down a 40-meter-long track to the viewing level at a height of 150 meters. The intrepid can reach speeds of up to 18 km/h in just 7 to 9 seconds. The upper part of the completely enclosed tube is partially transparent - otherwise it would be boring!

You can ride around the 600,000 m2 Danube Park on board the quaint Danube Park railway, alight at one of the playgrounds or picnic on the Papstwiese at the foot of the Danube Tower. There are also lots of opportunities for sporting activities, such as free tennis courts, a mini-golf course or chess.

Tips for summer

Visit the nearby Danube Island or cool down in the Old Danube. Opposite the Danube Park are the beach pool and the Bundesbad Alte Donau swimming pool. Swimming, splashing and romping around can also be enjoyed further along at the Angelibad beach, which has lots of things for kids to do, as well as at the Gänsehäufel beach pool. Numerous rowing, electrical and pedal boat rental stations await visitors.
