The cultural association "Werk" has moved into the arches of the former Stadtbahn railway at Spittelauer Lände, where it offers a contrasting program to the neighboring Grelle Forelle. While the Grelle Forelle is a fully designed club on an international scale, everything at the Werk appears improvised and raw. The Werk is a "work in progress" and is being developed piece by piece.

On the weekends, legendary parties are celebrated, with above all DJs of the Viennese underground scene at the turntables. The focus is on electronic music. The Werk also offers space for concerts, theater productions, readings, film screenings and private views. The "Werk" still has studio rooms where all sorts of artists work.
