Krapfenwaldlbad, people in a pool with a view of Vienna

Swimming with a breathtaking view

Like last year, the city's pools will operate a traffic light system again this year: this lets users see online in real time which pools are already full (red) and which still have lots (green) or at least some (yellow) free spaces. Admission tickets can be purchased in advance online from the city's pools.

Döblinger Pool

The Döblinger Pool on the Hohe Warte is a so-called combination pool – encompassing as it does an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. The large children's pools make swimming in Vienna a real experience for the little ones, too.

Schafberg Pool

Apart from the incredibly long water slide, visitors can also enjoy a wonderful view of the city. The Schafberg Pool therefore offers action for the whole family. The terraced design of the site and the colorful pools help you keep an eye on the little ones and provide an unforgettable view over Vienna.

Krapfenwaldl Pool

Like the Schafberg Pool, the Krapfenwaldl Pool is one of the top pools for your summer in Vienna, especially for the panoramic view of the whole city. Despite the remote location, it is easy to reach with public transport. From the Heiligenstadt U4 subway station, bus line 38A operates towards Vienna Leopoldsberg as far as Krapfenwaldgasse.

Grand Ferdinand

Guests of the Hotel Grand Ferdinand appreciate the hotel's many benefits, as well as the rooftop pool, which is open all year round. The average water temperature is 23 degrees Celsius. The hotel is located in a heritage-listed building on Vienna's Ringstrasse boulevard, and the view from the topmost "Grand Étage" extends far across the whole city.
