The Vienna International Centre (VIC), known locally as UNO City, is one of the four official headquarters of the United Nations, along with New York, Geneva and Nairobi.
The VIC is home to members of the UN family working in a variety of ways to promote peace, human rights and sustainable development. They ensure the peaceful use of nuclear technology and outer space, strive to bring an end to nuclear testing, reduce poverty, and help make the world safer from drugs, crime and terrorism.
You can visit the VIC on a guided tour with a multilingual guide. Highlights of the tour usually include visiting a conference room and exhibits such as a real piece of moon rock. Visitors interested in art have the possibility to book an art tour to see original works by renowned artists ranging from Friedensreich Hundertwasser to Hermann Nitsch.
