Immersium museum, interactive exhibition on animals

Immersium:Wien

The museum on Habsburgergasse in Vienna’s city center has been transporting visitors young and old into a breathtaking interactive world since it opened in October 2023. Numerous multimedia stations are spread out across three floors covering 1,100 m2 of exhibition space. 50 laser video projectors and 120 audio tracks create unforgettable 360-degree experiences. Highlights at Immersium:Wien include a 5D motion ride and, for the more courageous, a VR flight.

The country’s first permanent immersive museum immerses visitors in the realm of the animal world in its current themed exhibition. Visitors can marvel at spectacular ice worlds, coral reefs, lava flows, safaris and much more. The multimedia voyage of discovery entitled “Planet of the Animals” was created in collaboration with Universum (the documentary series produced by public broadcaster ORF). Recommended for children aged four and above.
